The Telescope Project - and the beginning of my Woodworking passion.

In order to build this scope, I had to have the basic woodworking tools.
Table Saw, Router (routah), bandsaw and Drill Press and decent hand tools.

The project took 3 months to complete, in the middle of a hot summer at that.
Every major assembly had to be built twice. That was the learning process.
I was happy tohave it square and straight. "Pretty Appearance" soon became a moot point.

My neighbor helped with welding the mirror mount's mount.

The final result:
It worked GREAT.
The optics I bought new, the mirror mount was a hi quality Meade unit, that was a factory reject, due to offset mounting holes.

12.5" Primary Mirror.
